In the Day of Independence - May 26, 2011- Georgia's first House of Justice was opened in Batumi. Italian architect Michele de Lucchi designed the building of the Justice House and it took one year to finish the construction. Along with the agencies of the Ministry of Justice, the Justice House will be also occupied by the Prosecutor's Office and the Chamber of Control of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
The New Georgian brand - the House of Justice is the first public service institution in Georgia with completely new concept of service delivery by the Ministry of Justice. This is a new strategy of consumer-oriented state services arranged in conformity with business logic and combined into one concept. The House of Justice will deliver various types of services based on the so-called "one-desk-service" principle. Consumers will have an opportunity to receive here services delivered by the Civil Registry Agency, National Agency of Public Registry, National Archive, National Bureau of Enforcement, Notary Chamber, Legislative Herald and Training Center of Justice.
Justice Houses in 2011 will be also opened in Rustavi, Mestia, and Kutaisi, and in 2012, it will be opened in Tbilisi.

Under the law “on entrepreneurs” registration of a legal entity is mandatory in Georgia. It is performed by the National Agency of Public Registry and contains both state and tax registration. According to the latest amendments in corresponding law registration of legal entities was simplified, almost every barrier was removed and the principle of “one window” was established. The requirement of minimal Founding capital does not exist anymore; also an enterprise’s stamp mandatory owing is abolished that made possible to register company just in few hours.
From 01 January of 2011, a new tax code was entered into force, which introduced many novelties to Georgian Legal environment. First of all, must be mentioned that the number of taxes were increased as well as percentage charged on certain taxes was altered. Namely, on common-state taxes was added Import Tax and in transitional regulations of the code was written that from 2014 tax on dividend will be abolished and Tax on Income will be decreased till 15%.
